2. Affordability: Don’t despair over news reports about economy! We’ve factored the downturns, the Dow, and the dollar – especially your dollar -- in our plans, too. And, while some couples believe that they can’t afford the wedding of their dreams, don’t worry! We offer wedding packages for every budget.
The Mitchell House offers 15 different packages for Saturday night – traditionally, the most popular wedding time – for 100 guests for under $5,000! And, if you choose to marry on a Friday night or a Sunday, the price is even less. Because of today’s busy lifestyles, many couples are choosing to marry on Fridays and Sundays. If you can be flexible with your wedding date, you will find packages well within your budget!

Did you know that we also have non-catered wedding packages? Choose to marry at our elegant facility, which offers a beautiful backdrop for photographs, for as little as $100. Or, you can have up to 25 guests, plus a reception with a wedding cake, punch and complimentary champagne for the bride and groom for only $500. Your wedding photographs will look as though you spent much more.

Selection: We invented the concept of “package weddings and receptions.” Our packages include your menu, exclusive use of The Mitchell House and Gardens, chairs, tablecloths, a wedding director, a wedding professional to perform your ceremony, a reception manager – and much more! We have 28 different packages for you to choose from, including full-service dinner packages and six packages that are our “premium” events.
And … we offer custom weddings and receptions. Tell us your ideas, and we will help you create the event of your dreams.

Times have changed dramatically, and Mothers of the Bride and Brides themselves are women on the go, with careers, responsibilities, volunteer activities, and commitments to their churches and communities.
We specialize in stress-free wedding planning! Our packages include the catering, tablecloths, chairs, and many other services. Don’t spend your valuable time comparing prices for linens, chairs, table rentals, and all of the other details that detract from your enjoyment of your engagement. You’ll receive free planning sessions to go over all of the details of your wedding so that you can enjoy this wonderful time in your life!
| 6. Options: Have you dreamed of having a garden wedding, but feared that the weather might rain on your plans? Do you dream of a small, intimate gazebo wedding on a spring morning when the air is fresh and the birds are chirping? Or do you want the charm of a wedding at an historic home?
You have options! Our covered pavilion seats up to 300 people. It’s open on two sides and overlooks the garden so that, rain or shine, you can have that outdoor wedding and never fear the weather. “If it rains, we’ve got you covered”—and we mean it.
For an intimate wedding for about 100 guests, our garden gazebo is a perfect location! And for those who want the beauty of a large, Southern home, the front room of our historic house will seat up to 100 guests. You’ll descend our lovely staircase and marry in front of a beautiful fireplace! |

7. We’re Bloomin’ Beautiful! Many brides find that choosing their wedding flowers is a daunting decision. Not for us! Our floral designers have decades of experience, and we offer outstanding, one-of-a-kind bouquets, table decorations, centerpieces and other creations through our “Love Blossoms” floral business. We’ll guide you through the process of choosing your flowers so that all the “blooms” will be beautiful and make just the right statement for your wedding! |
| 8. Great Cakes: Every bride and groom receive a FREE, beautifully decorated three-tiered wedding cake. It’s our gift to you for choosing to have your wedding with us! Our cakes are made on-site and are fresh and delicious. We have several designs to choose from, as well as a number of specialty cakes that we can create for you. And, if you see a cake in book or magazine and want us to create it for you, we’ll help you plan every detail – from colors to flowers to choice of flavors for each layer. We get rave reviews for our cakes, and one bite will let you know why!

9. Southern Hospitality: It’s a fact: Southerners are known for their love of entertaining, parties, and hospitality!
